This Privacy Notice explains how HeatMap Baseball ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our pitch analysis service (the "Service"). HeatMap Baseball is the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, age group, email address, hashed password.
  • Usage data: pitch clips you upload, derived analysis results, session history, feature usage.
  • Technical data: device identifiers, browser and OS information, IP address, log data.
  • Support data: messages you send us through support channels.
  • Billing data: handled directly by Paddle as Merchant of Record (see below).

2. How we use personal data

  • To create and operate your account (contract performance).
  • To provide the analysis Service and store your session history (contract performance).
  • To secure the Service, prevent fraud, and debug issues (legitimate interest).
  • To improve the Service and our analysis models (legitimate interest).
  • To respond to support requests (legitimate interest / contract performance).
  • To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

3. Who we share data with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, manages subscriptions, calculates and remits taxes, and issues invoices. See Paddle's privacy notice.
  • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, analytics, and customer support tooling, under appropriate data protection terms.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar advisers where necessary.
  • Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights.

4. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions.

5. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. We then delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Receive a portable copy of your data;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to keep your data safe.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to operate the Service (such as keeping you signed in) and a minimal amount of analytics to understand product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

The Service is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
